KVA Analysis
Lower your electrical bill without reducing energy usage.
KVA is power charge that has been nominated against your electricity meter. It estimates the maximum amount of power that a facility draws from National Power Grid during your peak demand.
it’s often assumed that the only way to lower costs are to limit the usage. This is not the case when it comes to KVA charges.
If your KVA level is set too high, you will be charged for energy that you will never use, however if your KVA level is set too low you could be putting your wiring and electrical appliances under stress as well as receive additional charges. Energy suppliers are not obliged to pass this data on to their customers as it is outset by your network provider (local power station).
At Cardinal Energy, we have seen businesses unnecessarily waste signifacnt amounts of money on power factor correction penalties, and Corporate Companies substantially losing a lot more.
Questions we usually ask our customers:
- Have you measured your KVA peak demand requirements?
- Do you know how much you’re paying for your KVA?
- Are you currently overpaying for your electrical KVA power due to power factor penalties and charges?
Cardinal Energy can help your company limit or remove electric power grid penalties.
As part of our services Cardinal Energy can issue UK Business with a no obligation annual KVA analysis report to identify unfitting power charges that may be impacting your overall energy expenses.
